cricket
I played from the ages 9-15 and will be a lifelong fan. As a kid, I represented the Western United States internationally, having been selected as a top 30 player in the US. I also captained the Dallas team regionally. I was a wicketkeeper-batsman, and I loved to bat more than anything else. I still swing my bat around when I overthink; it gives me a lot of peace. When I have free time, I watch games regardless of the format or the teams playing. It’s also taught me a lot about life: things like resilience and perseverance. Cricket’s also given me my closest friends, who I grew up playing alongside. Overall, I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it.
